CHICAGO’S Downtown Struts made quite an impact with their debut EP Sail The Seas Dry and first full-length Victoria! a couple of years ago.
Now they’re back with a five-track EP which shows a very different side to their songwriting.
It’s moved on from their early, punky bluster, and, on songs like Bipolar, which addresses singer Dan Cooper’s struggle to come to terms with the condition, matured a lot.
I can’t wait for album number two. 7/10. GW
