South Shields band The Waiters are kicking off the summer with a mini music festival.

The group – made up of Sam Clark, Martin King, Dan Johnson and Jack Errington – is hosting a Summer Warm Up at the O2 Academy, in Newcastle.

The boys will be joined on stage by a host of acts, including Channy, Ryan Lawrie, and Tom Smith, at the gig on Wednesday, July 20.

The event, backed by Metro Radio, will be raising funds for the station’s charity Cash For Kids.

The mini music festival is set to be held on the venue’s main stage, making it The Waiters’ biggest headline gig to date

It follows on from their sell-out gig in the venue’s smaller room last year.

Tickets for the 7pm show cost from £5. To book, go to www.musicglue.com/thewaitersofficial
