Little Mix are back with their latest music video – and it’s a magical one.
The X Factor-winning girl band have filmed the video for their new self-penned single Black Magic, the first release from their upcoming third album.
It sees the group – made up of South Shields girls Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall as well as Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock – back in high school with a geeky makeover.
As they perform the catchy, upbeat song, the girls find a magic book and cast a spell to give them a new look and also help out other kids who are being bullied.
Within hours of being released, #BlackMagicVideo was trending worldwide on Twitter and the video has since racked up thousands of views on website YouTube.
Jade’s mum Norma is a huge fan of the video, which was filmed on a university campus in Los Angeles.
She said: “I just think it’s an amazing video, but I’ve been watching it for four weeks now.
“I think it really shows off their acting skills as well but it’s got that message for their fans about being confident and feeling good about yourself.
“The fans have been amazing. The Mixers are so dedicated to them and have waited patiently for new material. It was trending worldwide on Twitter within an hour of going online, the response has been amazing.”
Perrie’s mum, Debbie Hogg, added: “The video is absolutely fabulous and it just proves that if you stick with something it will get bigger and better.
“I’m over the moon with it and the response from the fans has been fantastic.
“They’ve got such a fantastic fan base who are with them every step of the way.
“It’s been a while since they released something but they wanted to get it perfect and it means a lot to the girls that their fans have waited so patiently and the reaction so far has been brilliant.”
Black Magic is available to pre-oder now ahead of its release on July 10 and Little Mix’s new album will be released later this year.
