Little Mix could be on to another winner with the release of their new music video.
The X Factor-winning girl group, which includes South Shields girls Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, posted the video for upcoming single Love Me Like You on YouTube today.
The video sees the band, which also stars Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, at a typical high school prom, all believing that the same hunky man is their date.
In just a matter of hours, it has already been viewed almost 250,000 times by the girls’ fans, who call themselves Mixers.
The song is the second single set to be released from their third studio album Get Weird, which is scheduled for released on November 6.
The first single from the album, Black Magic, stayed at the No1 spot in the charts for three weeks.
It saw the group, who won the X Factor in 2011, make history as the first girl group to have a song at the top spot for two straight weeks since Sugababes’ About You Now in 2007.
Jade’s mum Norma said: “I absolutely love the video, it’s so funny. I think the song is a hit and it really shows them in a different light.
“It’s totally different to Black Magic and hopefully it’ll bring them to a whole new audience.
“It’s got that sound of an era of music that I loved and I just think it’s brilliant.”
Perrie’s mum, Debbie Hogg, added: “It reminds me of Grease, I love it. I’ve been waiting for this one to come out because it’s totally my type of music.
“This song and Black Magic are so brilliant, but I think the best is still yet to come, the album is unbelievable.
“I’m hoping the song will go to No1 but there are so many things going on at the minute with Beyonce and Justin Bieber bringing out new songs, but I really think this one will be a hit.”
