IN a fortnight’s time US rockers Foo Fighters will hit the stage in Sunderland – and you could be there for free.
The multi-Grammy award-winning band will kick off the European leg of their Sonic Highways tour at the Stadium of Light on May 25.
An estimated 50,000 people are expected to attend the concert, which is the only gig so far scheduled at the stadium this summer.
Remaining tickets are limited for the Bank Holiday Monday gig, but we’ve teamed up with the home of the Black Cats to give away a pair to one lucky reader.
Fronted by Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, the band has had scores of top hits including: All My Life, Monkey Wrench and Learn to Fly.
Supporting the Foo Fighters at the Stadium of Light will be Kaiser Chiefs. Recognised as one of the UK’s most popular indie rock acts in recent years, the Leeds-based band will warm up the crowds with their Top 10 hits.
A small number of additional general admission tickets with prime views have recently been released for the show and are available to buy directly from the Stadium of Light ticket office or by calling the ticket hotline on 551 5004. The ticket office is open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, and from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays. Visit www.safcconcerts.com.
