A Pink Floyd tribute act is looking forward to a very special show this week.
Shine On are set to play their 10th show at their hometown venue, the Customs House, on Friday.
The band, who hail from South Shields, will be working their way through the famous back catalogue of classic hits from albums like Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here when they take to the stage at the town’s Mill Dam theatre.
Band member Fletcher Christian said: “This is going to be a very special one for us because it’s our 10th show at the Customs House so it’s sort of like our 10th anniversary there.
“We’re pulling out all the stops for it to make it an extra special night.
“We’re really looking forward to it and it’s always great to do a hometown venue with your friends and family there.
“We’re going to be doing all the classic hits of Pink Floyd, stuff from Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here.
“The show is being filmed as well with the idea of making it into a documentary so people coming along to the show should know that they might be on camera.”
Tickets for the 7.45pm gig cost £20. To book, go to www.customshouse.co.uk or call the box office on 0191 454 1234.
