MAMMA Mia! An Abba tribute act is coming to South Tyneside.
Waterloo – The Best of Abba will pay homage to the Swedish pop group at the Customs House, in South Shields.
The show calls at the Mill Dam venue on Sunday, January 25.
It celebrates the group, who shot to stardom with their Eurovision-winning song Waterloo, in 1974.
The show aims to recreate a live concert from Abba, and includes famous songs like Super Trouper, Dancing Queen and SOS.
Rob Miles, who portrays Bjorn, said: “What people really want when it comes to Abba is to have a good time and a dance.
“With Waterloo – The Best of Abba, we’ve brought Abba into the 21st Century while still looking and sounding totally authentic.
“It’s funky, it’s high energy and there’s an obsessive attention to detail.
“From the perfect vocal harmonies and exciting choreography, to the hand-crafted costumes and the unique musical arrangements, this is a totally live concert experience, performed by a truly outstanding seven–piece band.
