AN Elvis impersonator is hoping to leave theatre-goers all shook up.
Lee Memphis King, one of Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artists, will return to Sunderland Empire for one night only later this month.
In a new show for 2015, Lee celebrates the entire career of the music legend.
This show begins with an authentic recreation of the 1968 comeback special, including the legendary ‘sit down’ section, progressing through to a rousing expo of Elvis’s years performing in Vegas.
Lee is accompanied throughout by an orchestra and backing singers that breathe new life into the music of a legend.
The show also features large screen projections, making it the biggest Elvis show to tour UK theatres.
Over the last eight years, Lee has played to more than a million fans and has headlined and sold out some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and Europe.
l One Night of Elvis is at Sunderland Empire on January 17. Tickets are available in person at the Box Office from £20.50 or from £23.40 from the Ticket Centre on 0844 871 3022 or online at www.ATGtickets.com/Sunderland.
