The cool and fairly unsettled conditions the North East has seen for much of the summer will continue into the weekend for the Sunderland International Airshow.
Saturday: A cool start to the day but it should be dry with spells of sunshine. However, cloud will bubble up through the morning to give a scattering of showers into the afternoon, some of these locally heavy or even thundery. A chilly northerly breeze, but this should ease into the afternoon. A maximum temperature of 16C.
Sunday: It should be a dry start to the day but it will be largely overcast with showery outbreaks of rain spreading in from the west through the day. There is the risk of poor visibility later in the afternoon with some sea mist possibly blowing in off the North Sea. Cool for July with highs of just 14C.
