A ghoulish comedy show is aiming to raise laughs this Halloween.
A host of actors will be donning scary costumes for the Halloween Laffalang at the Westovian Theatre, in South Shields.
The frightening show runs at the Pier Parade venue at .7.30pm on Saturday, October 31 and 2pm on Sunday, November 1.
The comedy sketch show, penned by South Shields playwright Ed Waugh, will feature performances from panto legend Bob Stott as well as local actors Paul Dunn, Craig Richardson, Stephen Sullivan, Vanessa Karon and Sisley Henning,
The latest event in the Laffalang series will be hosted by comedian Andy Ford.
It follows on from the summer event in August which saw some sketches selected to be included in this year’s Sunday For Sammy at Newcastle’s City Hall.
It will be a cracking night of guaranteed laughs and mayhem. We’d encourage people to come along in Halloween outfits to add to the party mood.Gareth Hunter, Laffalang producer
Laffalang producer, Gareth Hunter, said: “It is an honour to work with Sunday For Sammy and it shows the prestige in which the Laffalang is held. Getting Andy Ford along is another massive coup for us and reflects the high standard of comedian the show attracts.
“We did the Sunday For Sammy Laffalang on a Sunday afternoon and it was very popular, so we wanted to try something different at Halloween.
