WOULD eternal youth be a gift or a curse?
Ever since being rendered ageless in a freak accident, Adaline Bowman (Blake Lively) has lived her life on the run, relocating and changing her identity every decade.
Just as she’s about to move, she meets handsome philanthropist Ellis Jones (Michiel Huisman) at a New Year’s Eve party.
After falling for him hard, she decides to let herself stay and love him, but meeting his parents (Harrison Ford and Kathy Baker) threatens to uncover the truth of her existence.
The love story is passionate and compelling and Lively and Huisman have great on-screen chemistry.
The audience really identifies with Adaline, and the film poses a lot of questions. Most people have wondered what it would be like to live forever, and this story gives a real insight into the problems it would create.
The film is a sweet story of true love and overcoming adversity – it made me shed a little tear.
It’s the perfect weepy film to enjoy with your gal pals.
