A gripping true story of a group of men’s attempt to scale Mount Everest is coming to a South Tyneside cinema – and you could see it for free.
We’ve teamed up with Cineworld Boldon to offer one lucky reader a prize package inspired by new action-packed drama Everest.
The 12A-certificate films is based on Jon Krakauer’s book Into Thin Air and sees an all-star cast depict two groups attempting to reach the peak of Mount Everest.
We’re offering one lucky reader the chance to see a screening of their choice at the cinema in Abingdon Way, Boldon Colliery, along with friends.
Our winner will also receive a movie merchandise pack, including a T-shirt, beanie hat and hoodie, and a climbing taster session for two people, courtesy of Newcastle Climbing Centre.
The cinema’s supervisor, Jess Adie, said: “Everest looks absolutely extraordinary. We can’t wait to see it. It has everything you could want from a movie – a gripping storyline, love, friendship and, of course, action. Not to mention it’s based on true events, so you feel even more attached to the characters. It’s definitely not a film to miss and perfect for anyone who is wanting a bit adventure in their life.”
