A champion boxer will be pulling no punches when he comes to South Shields to talk about his career.
International Boxing Federation world champion Kell Brook is coming to Hedworth Hall, in Dean Road, on Friday, September 18.
The welterweight will be chatting to an audience of boxing fans about his career and posing for pictures with VIP guests.
Carl Mowatt, general manager of Hedworth Hall, said: “We’re really excited to welcome Kell.
“We’ve got a good reputation for our sporting dinners and have had some big names in boxing and football, like Sugar Ray, Ricky Hatton, Larry Holmes, Frank Bruno, and now Kell.
“He’ll be sh aring stories about how he got where he is and then doing a meet and greet with people who have VIP tickets.”

He added: “These events are always a great night for both genders, we get a lot of ladies coming along as well.
“It also includes a lovely meal from Otto Restaurant, which is inside Hedworth Hall, and should be a great night for everyone who comes along.”
Brook’s first professional fight was in September 2004, when he had a victory over experienced boxer Peter Buckley.
He fought another four times that year with a record of five wins and no losses in four months.
Brook has been named British Champion, Young Boxer of the Year, and won a World Champion title during his career.
