Peter Rabbit and friends appear in knitted Beatrix Potter scene on South Shields postbox with special message to passersby
Peter Rabbit plus friends Mrs Tiggy Winkle, Jemima Puddle-Duck, a duckling and some butterflies are all part of the knitted scene which has been attached to the postbox in Stanhope Road, near West Park.
Attached is a note which reads: “Please don’t vandalise or steal me. I’ve been made of many hours of patience and sore fingers.
