Rail delays after person hit by train on East Coast Mainline

Rail passengers are being warned to expect delays after a person was hit by a train.

Virgin East Coast has announced that all lines are blocked after the incident between Berwick and Newcastle.

Services are expected to resume after 1:15pm.
