Siem de Jong tweets fitness update after horror eye injury
Siem de Jong has revealed he is still not allowed to train after suffering a serious eye injury last week.
The Newcastle United forward damaged his eye in training in an incident that left the player fearing for his sight.
And he tweeted today that he hasn’t returned to first-team training yet, but has a hospital appointment on Friday where he will get his eye checked out.
