Henri Lansbury labelled a 'con artist' in extraordinary attack after Newcastle's defeat at Forest

Jonjo Shelvey and Paul Dummett were sent off after separate incidents involving Nottingham Forest midfielder Lansbury last night.

United manager Rafa Benitez accused Lansbury of play-acting after his nine-man team's 2-1 Championship loss.

And Queens Park Rangers midfielder Henry went further on Twitter.

Henry tweeted: "Henri Lansbury is a con artist! Threw himself to the ground to get me sent off. Got two players sent off tonight. #CheatersNeverProsper"

Shelvey was dismissed by referee Stephen Martin for kicking out at Lansbury. Benitez felt he had been provoked by the 26-year-old.

The midfielder will now miss the club's next three games through suspension.

And Dummett was sent off after Lansbury went down under a challenge from him as he entered the box.

Martin also awarded penalties for the two incidents, and Karl Darlow, signed from Forest two years ago, saved them both.

On the Dummett challenge, Lansbury said: "The new rules are a yellow card and a penalty (for a last-man challenge). They’ll feel hard done by."
