A group of Newcastle United fans have told Mike Ashley to “stop gambling with our club”.

Wor Flags posted photographs of a banner with that message outside St James’s Park last night.

The group, behind a series of a stunning flag displays inside the stadium during Rafa Benitez’s time as manager, have called for a managerial change with the 17th-placed club just three points above the relegation zone.

They tweeted: “Don’t stick with this joker.”

Steve Bruce’s side entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers at St James’s Park tomorrow.
