A new reopening date has been set for Wetherspoons The Wouldhave pub in Mile End Road after its multi-million pound redevelopment work was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The pub and former nightclub, which closed in October 2019 will now reopen on September 8, 2020 – six months later than its original date of March 24.

And artists impressions now show what punters can look forward to when the pub finally does reopens its doors.
The inside of the The Wouldhave, which first opened as a Wetherspoon branch in July 1998, will look unrecognisable as it is completely refurbished and redecorated throughout, with a new colour scheme and finishes, new carpets and lighting, as well as a mixture of new and refurbished furniture and artwork.
Wetherspoons has acquired an adjacent building, which will be partially demolished to create a new split-level terrace garden.

The retained part of the former nightclub premises will be used to extend the customer area of the pub and house the new relocated bar and cellar area.
The work also includes a new kitchen, new staff facilities and reconfigured and refurbished customer toilets.
