Asda launch Call and Collect prescription service to support social distancing measures in their stores

Starting today (Friday, May 1) Asda will begin a new Call and Collect service which will allow customers to pick up their prescribed medication without having to enter stores.

The supermarket chain have said all 255 pharmacies will offer the opportunity to park up in designated bays outside the store and call the pharmacy to have their medication delivered to their car.

All existing Asda Pharmacy customers will have access to the new service which aims to get vital medication to customers safely.

There will even be an option to pay over the phone, meaning no contact has to be made.

It is also hoped that the new service will further improve social distancing measures which are already in place throughout the stores.

Faisal Tuddy, Superintendent Pharmacist at Asda said: “Our teams are working tirelessly to help our customers during this time, so we are pleased to announce the new Call and Collect service.

“This will allow us to provide convenient and contact-free access to vital medication, helping customers to feel safe and reducing the number of people in our stores.”

For Asda Pharmacy customers who are unable to leave the house due to self-isolating, Asda are also offering a home delivery service.
