Boldon firm wins £1million of contracts, with work to help NHS and Northumbria Police
A services and maintenance firm has kicked of the year with deals totalling £1million.
HLA Services – which is based at Boldon Business Park – is to supply maintenance, ventilation services and water hygiene management, as part of multiple contracts at NHS sites nationally.
The company says it has seen growth across it’s various divisions - including a 30% increase in its mechanical contracts department and 10% growth in its service maintenance division, with turnover now reaching £12.5million.
The company also recently secured a three-year maintenance contract with Northumbria Police and employs over 100 people, with satellite offices in Teesside, Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
Director, Paul Smith, said: “We are pleased to be heading into the second quarter of the year on a positive note and have secured work on a number of NHS projects across the UK.
“This includes mechanical services and ventilation to the Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Macclesfield, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Darlington Memorial Hospital.
“The work in Darlington Memorial Hospital is split over two phases. The first will see the team refurbish the outpatients building, by supplying heating, ventilation and plumbing work. The second phase of the project will include refurbishing the maternity theatre.”
Fellow director, Neil Henry, said: “The skill set and depth we have built up within the team is highlighted through the contracts we are securing.
"We are ambitious and have laid down solid foundations, as we build on an excellent blend of experience and talent to make sure we keep moving forward.”
