Pubs and other venues are embracing the “new normal” after the easing of lockdown, with businesses looking at new ways of attracting and serving customers that is Covid-secure as the pandemic continues.
5. Elton John tribute, The Saltgrass, Sunderland

7. Victoria Gardens, Grangetown, Sunderland

8. Key workers Variety Show, Customs House, South Shields
A Variety Show will take place at the Customs House on August 28 at 7pm, with a whole host of guests performing for NHS and key workers as a thank you. The event is free to NHS and key workers Performers include: Davey Hopper, Cal Halbert, Members of Encore, Boyle Yer Stotts and Graeme Shaw. In line with government guidelines you are required to wear a mask when attending the theatre (unless exempt), once you are seated at a social distance you may remove your mask to eat or drink.
