‘Jarra’s Tapas,’ hosted by The Lakeside Inn, is encouraging the Jarrow community to show off their talents to keep the community entertained, with over 1000 people tuning in every week to see people singing, entertaining and giving thanks to the NHS.
The show has received messages of praise and encouragement from big names including actor David Morrissey, Sunderland football legend Peter Reid, and local Paralympian gold medalist Joseph Craig.

Carl Mowatt said: “The show is all about local people singing and having a good time, sharing some moral support for the NHS and having a bit of fun in challenging times.”
Despite being remaining closed under coronavirus restrictions, the Lakeside Inn team is already working hard and planning for its return, whenever that may be.
Carl said the pub has plenty of fresh ideas for its reopening, including opening a new VIP area, a new menu and is already taking bookings for weddings in 2021.
