Morrisons has revealed that it is opening a chain of supermarket takeaways as they launch a new “hot food-to-go” service in all 402 of its cafés.
Like many supermarkets, Morrisons had to close its cafés following the coronavirus outbreak but from Friday, June 19, customers will be able to receive takeaway meals.

The new service means that Morrisons will become the nation’s largest fish and chips takeaway, selling an average of two-million portions a year.
To celebrate this, the cafés will offer two portions of fish and chips, along with bread and butter for £10.
Marianne Jones, Head of Café Operations at Morrisons, has explained why the supermarket chain has announced service.

Customers can order their food by calling the national Morrisons takeaway number on 0330 808 9733.
Alternatively customers can visit the café when in store to place their order and all meals will be ready for collection half-an-hour after the order is placed.
Deliveroo will also be available in certain locations.
