The Mariners have announced Complete Fabrication Services (CFS) as the company whose logo will feature on match and replica shirts as part of a new partnership between the club and CEFO Group.

CFS is CEFO Group’s dedicated engineering and fabrication division, providing advanced services for multiple sectors including the global oil and gas, marine and renewables industries.

CFS has a fabrication facility based on the River Tyne, also operates from quayside and port locations throughout the UK.

CEFO Group CEO John Wood said: “We are delighted to announce our support and sponsorship of South Shields Football Club.

“As the owner of CFS, a long-established North East business with strong local ties, we are wholly committed to supporting the community.

“Football sits firmly at the heart of this and we are pleased we can play our part in helping to support grassroots football here in South Shields.

“South Shields is a fantastic club with a great history and supported by a legion of loyal followers.”

Mr Wood said Geoff Thompson and Lee Picton had done ‘a remarkable job’ in rebuilding the ‘fabulous club’ and the company was delighted to play a part.

“We very much look forward to supporting Graham Fenton and the team this season. We are all set for an exciting and eagerly anticipated start to the campaign.”

South Shields FC Business Development Manager Colin Docherty said: “We’re delighted to announce this partnership with CFS and CEFO Group as we prepare for the launch of our new home kit next week.

“CFS is a highly reputable and fast-growing business with a number of extremely impressive individuals at the heart of it, and we look forward to developing a long-term relationship with them.

“The values and ambitions of the club and CFS are closely aligned, which makes this such an exciting collaboration which we are committed to ensuring is beneficial for all parties.

“We are hugely grateful for their support and commitment, and we are sure the entire South Shields family will join us in welcoming them into the club with open arms.

“We greatly look forward to sharing the designs of our new kits for the 2021-22 season in the near future with the CFS branding taking pride of place to begin this exciting partnership.”

CEFO Group is an independent private equity investment company that specialises in the acquisition and development of existing market-leading businesses, as well as the creation of new enterprises in sectors with high growth potential.

Mr Docherty said further exciting details regarding CEFO Group’s support for the club will be announced in the coming weeks.

He added the club would like to thank Catalyst Professional Sports Management for their assistance in making the introduction between the two parties.

South Shields FC supporters can look forward to the launch of the club’s 2021-22 home shirt – proudly featuring the CFS logo – on Monday when a new online store goes live.
