Top business award for Port of Tyne
Port of Tyne has become the first in the country to be awarded an accolade for providing outstanding collaboration and excellence for it’s customers.
The South Shields-based business has received ISO 44001 accreditation, the latest international standard for collaborative working, and aimed at recognising organisation which go beyond delivering contractual obligations and fostering sustainable business relationships and collaborative working.
Matt Beeton, chief executive officer at the Port of Tyne, said: “Gaining the ISO 44001 certification is a landmark achievement and being the first UK port to do so is the strongest evidence possible to demonstrate that our commercial relationships with customers are truly collaborative.”
