I'm never getting over this: Jade reacts as Florence Welch covers song in radio session

Jade has been left stunned as FLorence Welch covered one of her singles for a radio session.

Welch, best known for her work as Florence and the Machine, performed as part of a BBC Radio One Live Lounge session, which sees artists perform their own songs as well as one cover.

These tracks are often current pop songs.

Taking to the Live Lounge studio earlier this week, Welch covered Jade’s debut single Angel Of My Dreams.

The track saw critial acclaim when it was released in the second half of 2024 and, although fans did not know at the time, it would serve as the lead single for the South Tyneside star’s debut album, which was released this year.

The album, ‘That’s Showbiz, Baby’ reached number three on the UK album chart. It was her first full length release following Little Mix’s hiatus in 2022.

“I just think it’s one of the best pop songs in a really long time” said Welch during her session. “I think it’s so incredible and innovative and it inspired me on my record.”

Welch also performed Sympathy Magic from her new album Everybody Scream as part of her Live Lounge session.

Commenting on the clip on social media, Jasde said: “Never getting over this. Thank you.”
