And now Palmersdene has announced that it will be delivering a hot meal to the homes of elderly people in the Jarrow area each day.

It is appealing for members of the public to get in touch with the home to let them know if they are and elderly person or know of someone within the vulnerable age group who would benefit from the service.

“We would like to offer a hot meal delivered to your home each day as long as practicably possible.

“We will obviously be following guidelines and will be unable to come into your property, so you must be able to answer the door.”

If you would like to take up Palmersdene’s offer or if you could think of someone to nominate call the home on: 0191 4280660 ext 2.
