Covid-19 infections in South Tyneside have been generally falling, with the seven-day rate of of positive cases per 100,000 people dropping from 496.1 (on January 1) to 150.4 (on February 11).
But the latest figures show infections are still on the rise in seven out of the 23 neighbourhoods in the borough.
Here we reveal which areas have seen the biggest increase in case rates per 100,000 people between February 4 and February 11.
The case rate takes into account the number of people living in each area compared to the number of people who have tested positive for the virus and are measured by 100,000 people.
The figures are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two). Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.
