South Tyneside Council surgery cancelled amid coronavirus pandemic

South Tyneside Council has confirmed that the next surgery for Cleadon Park residents will not go ahead as planned.

The Cleadon Park Ward surgery, which was due to be held on Saturday, March 21, at Brinkburn CIO off Harton Lane, has been called off following the government’s latest guidance for dealing with the outbreak of Covid-19.

On Monday, March 16 The Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged people to stay away from pubs, clubs, theatres and other social venues and advised that where possible, people should work from home.

Anyone who lives alone and is displaying symptoms including the recent onset of a continuous cough, or high temperature is advised to self-isolate for seven days.
