Ryanair and Jet2 cancel all UK flights to Poland after country's coronavirus 'lock down'
Ryanair said it was cancelling all flights from UK airports to Poland from Saturday, March 14 until Tuesday, March 31.
In a statement, a spokesman for the airline said: “This is a fast-moving and complex situation and the safety and well-being of our people and customers is our main priority.

Hide Ad“We will continue to comply fully with all WHO and EASA guidelines and we will follow any travel restrictions that are imposed.”


Jet2 has also suspended flights to Poland until Monday, April 27.
The company said in a statement: “We have suspended all flights to Krakow with immediate effect. We will be flying customers back to the UK from Krakow via our programme of scheduled flights.”
The decision comes just hours after Jet2 announced that it was cancelling all flights to Spain following the country declaring a state of emergency as the coronavirus outbreak worsens.

Hide AdHere in the UK, the Government has announced that deaths from the virus have more than doubled in 24-hours. The number of deaths as of this morning was 21, with the number of new confirmed cases of Covid-19 rising to 1,140.


It is expected that the Government may take the decision next week to ban all public gatherings in the UK. Many major sporting events have already been postponed in the UK, including football fixtures.
