It's Happiness Day this week and we've got 10 cheerful South Tyneside scenes from the past to raise your spirits

Let’s start the week with some happy reminders of cheerful South Tyneside events from the past.

The International Day of Happiness is this week and we are celebrating with a look back at lovely reminders of events which put a smile on our faces.

We look in on a happiness class at Westoe Crown Primary School and join members of the Bedewell Grange residential home as they celebrate the Queen’s 80th birthday.

We have children enjoying a big day at Toner Avenue School in Hebburn and an anniversary to remember at the St Jude’s Church Mother and Toddler Group.

So join us on a journey of smiles.
