10 pictures from GCSE results days past in South Tyneside as the big day beckons for this year's school-leavers

The countdown is well under way for those awaiting their GCSE results and we hope all students in the borough get the outcome they are hoping for.

Many of you will have memories of the day you found out your results in years gone by.

We have reminders of results day at schools including South Shields Community College, St Wilfrid’s, Hebburn Comprehensive and Whitburn Comprehensive.

Let’s head back to memories from 2007, 2009, 2013, and more.
