Peter, from Bedfordshire, loved a selection of fairground pictures of South Tyneside that we shared earlier this month.
In fact, he loved them so much, he shared a collection of his own which were taken on a visit to South Shields in 1959.
Peter, 77, told us: “My mother was born in South Shields so there is a vast family thereabouts. I visit as often as possible.
“My friend and I visited for couple of weeks in 1959 as teenagers staying with one of my aunties.”
