International Wear A Hat Day is on the way this week but we wanted to get ahead of the rest with a look back on some happy head wear photos, and some scenes which supported very important causes.
Over the years, you have been sponsored to wear hats and created some Easter bonnets. And you have also used hats to support earthquake victims in a big-hearted display of warmth for others.
There’s plenty more besides but why not take a look for yourself.

2. Hats for Haiti in 2010
A hat memory with a serious theme. Shotton Hall Junior School pupils donned head wear for charity when they supported the Hats For Haiti fundraiser 11 years ago. It helped people affected by earthquakes in Haiti. Can you spot someone you know? Photo: LH
3. Excellent times at English Martyrs
It was 'Odd Shoe and Funny Hat Day' at English Martyrs in Hartlepool when our photographer visited for this 2006 event. Who can tell us more? Photo: FLR
