We are talking about the teachers of South Tyneside who have given the children of the borough excellent service over the years and not just during the pandemic.
So let’s look back at some more of the people who have been such a joy in the classroom – and out on trips too.
We have got reminders from Jarrow, Cleadon, South Shields and more in this feature of photos from the Shields Gazette archives.
Join us on a journey back to school.
