10 retro photos of South Tyneside children in their reception class at school

New arrivals will soon be spending their first day in reception classes across South Tyneside.

It’s a special moment and it certainly was for these children – and their parents – when they started in reception class in years gone by.

Did you know someone in Miss McCabe's class at St Bede's RC Primary School in Jarrow in 2008?

How about Miss Waugh’s 2014 class at Forest View Primary or Miss Rundle’s 2014 class at St Matthew’s RC Primary School?

There is all this and much more in our retro spread. Take a look.
