Nine happy memories from South Shields' Westoe Crown Primary School

It’s a school in the news – and we are celebrating with a look back at some other times when Westoe Crown Primary was in the spotlight.

The Shields Gazette reported this week that Westoe Crown Primary School was chosen for the Diabetes UK ‘Good Diabetes Care in School Award’ because of the support it provides to students with the condition.

But this is a school which has regularly been in the headlines for its excellent events over the years.

We’ve got memories of hula hoop lessons in the playground, a sponsored silence, a visit by a helicopter, dressing up for World Book Day and happiness classes. Take a look.
