Today marks the start of Community Garden Week in the UK and it celebrates community and school gardens across the UK.
The Shields Gazette archives have plenty of photos from great school gardens in South Tyneside.
There’s Laygate and Marine Park, Epinay and Bedewell. They all provide a great way to help children learn about the environment.
And they are all a great way to get you to share your memories of these nostalgic photos.
Take a look through the archive collection before you get in touch to tell us more.
