Looking back to 1981 - can you believe this happened in South Tyneside 40 years ago
That was the year we watched Chariots of Fire on the big screen and Dynasty on the small screen.
Bucks Fizz was Making Your Mind Up and we were singing along to Duran Duran as they sang about Girls On Film.
We are talking about 1981 and closer to home, all this was in the news.
We have memories from Ashley Road Junior School and a reminder of a local band belting out a song.
Or how about the photo showing Fowler Street. Does it bring back memories of days out shopping?
Take a look and then get in touch to tell us more.
