Did you watch as the majestic tall ships said goodbye to the Tyne in 2005?

Here is a reminder of when the people of South Tyneside watched the tall ships sail out of the Tyne in 2005.

It was a spectacular sight and lots of you came out to witness it.

The ships may be making a return to the region if Hartlepool is successful in its bid to host the races in 2023.
