South Tyneside Council has announced it intends to make an order to temporarily ban traffic from the west end of Dulverton Avenue for 50 metres from its junction with Stanhope Road, in the West Park area of the town.

The closure is planned to start on May 25 and last for 22 days.

The order, under the terms of the Road Traffic Act, says the closure is required to allow South Tyneside Council to carry out work to renew parking bays in the area.
