Parents are being offered tips during Child Safety Week

The week, which runs from 7 – 14 June, will focus on asthma awareness, knife crime, accidental poisoning, safer sleep, keeping children safe in sport and other activities.

The campaign, run by the Child Accident Prevention Trust, is being supported by the South Tyneside Safeguarding Children and Adults Partnership.

A number of briefing sessions are being held throughout the week and the partnership will share top tips on how to keep children safe. It is hoped people will share these tips in line with the campaign’s theme of ‘Share Because You Care.’
