The Stanhope Hotel on Stanhope Road, South Shields, was closed around 2008. It became an upmarket Tavistock diner in 2011, but closed in 2018. Now it looks set to become another venue after being taken over by a new owner earlier in 2019. | User (UGC) Photo: Google Maps.
