On Monday, February 9 chefs and hospitality professionals from across the UK and Ireland gathered to celebrate this year’s Michelin Star updates.
During the ceremony, a total of 20 new Michelin One-Star awards were announced, alongside 7 new Michelin Green Stars, 2 new Two-Star awards, and all 10 Three-Star restaurants retained their awards. A further 37 Bib Gourmand restaurants were revealed online in the week leading up to the Dublin event.

9. Lovage, Jesmond
Lovage in Jesmond is owned and operated by Kleo Tabaku and Lisa Hide, who also run Osters. Lovage serves seasonal menus, with unique twists. Michelin said: “Head Chef Kleo is Albanian by birth and spent time in Italy before making the UK his home, so it’s no surprise to see the flavours and colours of the Mediterranean feature at this charming neighbourhood brasserie.” | Google Maps

10. Nest, Heaton
Nest is a neighbourhood restaurant offering tasting menus, as well as Sunday lunch. Michelin said: “ The interesting set menus offer simple dishes not constricted by culinary boundaries; they are carefully cooked, fresh and well flavoured, and there's a fun element to them that actually works quite well.” | Google Maps

11. Solstice by Kenny Atkinson, Newcastle upon Tyne
Another Kenny Atkinson restaurant that Michelin recommends is Solstice, which offers a luxury fine dining experience.
