National Fish and Chip Day is being celebrated today.
The event is normally held in June but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Organisers want this year’s event to be even more special and say a very big ‘thank you’ to those who have kept us fed, and when that wasn’t possible kept us all safe by remaining closed at great sacrifice to their business.
Here are some of the local businesses which are involved….
1. The Bay, Seaburn.
The Bay on Whitburn Bents Road, Seaburn, will offer 20% off every order for frontline workers (proof of identity required). The offer will be running for the foreseeable future. Photo: Tim Richardson
2. Pantrini’s, Whitley Bay
