5. Durham Brewery, Durham
Durham Brewery, Durham has a 4.5* rating from 36 reviews. A TripAdvisor reviewer said: “The Durham Brewery has been my go to brewery for the last 5 years. They have an excellent range of styles and strengths, all of high quality and taste. I was originally drawn to them having received a bottle of their White Stout (now called Alabaster) from a generalist supplier and since then I've never looked back. I have also held on to a fee bottles of their stronger barrel aged beers with a view to testing how they age, I've still got a few last bottles of Redemption from 2019 with a best before of 2028 and they have matured nicely. But you really don't need to wait that long to enjoy some great tastes!” | TripAdvisor/Durham Brewery

6. Crown Posada, Newcastle

Jools, the local barman, was a delight and told us about the history of Newcastle. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the beers and recommended pleny of places for us to go as a couple. 10/10 will return to the Crown Pasanda when we’re next in the area.” | Google/Henk Postma
