Ten three-bedroomed town houses are set to be built at the junction of Boldon Lane and Straker Terrace, South Shields, “following significant private investment in new housing in the town”.

The properties have planning permission and are expected to be available to buy by spring of next year.

Properties are in high demand in this area and we anticipate a high level of interest from local people including first time buyers and families, thanks to a close proximity to local transport links, national and local retailers and outdoor spaces including Temple Park.

“These homes will include a spacious open plan kitchen and lounge area, utility room, study, three bedrooms, family bathroom, separate WC and garage.

“The development will also transform an area of land which has been disused for some time, creating a better and more established environment for the local community.”

A spokesperson for Stessa Group, the firm behind the development, added: “We are delighted to be bringing new homes to South Shields, supporting a local need for quality housing and opportunities for local people.

“We are looking forward to also creating jobs for local builders and suppliers, as well as teaming up with local estate agents and chartered surveyors Bradley Hall in marketing the properties.”
