The gloomy winter weather will certainly have many people dreaming of a break – and the Northumberland coast is likely to be a favourite for those considering a UK staycation.

The Prime Minister announced on Monday, February 22, that self-contained accommodation like holiday cottages can operate from April 12 and hotels, B&Bs and holiday parks can reopen from May 17.
