10 things you said about the A19's new triple-decker roundabout
A junction on the A19 will undergo a major transformation in a bid to improve traffic on the route.
But do you think the plans, for a triple-decker roundabout, on the route to and from the Tyne Tunnel on the north side will really make things better?
Here is what some of you had to say on social media.
Andrew Meddes: "Glad I wont be caught in the traffic jams while getting built!"
Steven Johnston: "Help the A19 to run better. Need to do the same down at Testos roundabout."
Bob Jackson: "If people can't even use the roundabout near Park Lane properly there's no chance they could use this."
Alan Arnold: "Great idea, I just hope the drainage is good in that dip otherwise we will need snorkels fitted to our cars."
Anthony Frazer: "Who will foot the bill for this if we do not have the backing of the EU money?"
John Lambert: "Many more years of morning chaos."
Lee Noble: "Coming soon 2094."
Dave Mitchell: "Hope I'm alive to see it."
Anthony Dixon: "Canny piece of engineering that!"
Steven Popov: "This is good for North Tyneside, but more importantly, when will they start on Testos roundabout?"
